Revivals and Revivalism

We may say the problem's with America's schools today lies in many places but unless they "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" (Matthew 6:33), the problems will only persist. We Christians must first set the example and passionately pursue to emulate the holiness and perfection of God (Matthew 5:48), constantly emphasizing the importance of God.
"With Princeton's emphasis on the liberal arts, and the fact that students for the ministry had to undertake additional studies after graduation (either under the president at Princeton or elsewhere), it may seem surprising that the College was, in Ashbel Green's words, "eminently instrumental in preparing men to preach the gospel with ability and success." In part this is due to the stand point from which the curriculum was taught. "Unsanctified learning" -that is scholarship detached from religion- was treated as a danger and not as an acquisition to be admired. If "the fountains of science" were without "the salt of revealed truth" they would become a curse. All that was taught thus gave men a heightened view of the importance of God."
